Horseshoe Bar Ranch
We are lucky to have the opportunity to partner with Horseshoe Bar Ranch. The Ranch is located downstream of Clarno boat launch and offers 12 miles of river access. The lodge can accommodate up to 12 guests and offers a great overnight option. The cabins were completed in 2025, which includes a living room, a full kitchen, and a wood-burning stove.
There are two cabins with three bedrooms with private bathrooms. Each cabin is equipped with a wood stove and looks out to the John Day River. These cabins can accommodate up to 12 guests.
When booking a multi-day float trip, you can now enhance your experience by adding a night—or several nights—at the lodge along the way.
When you book guided fishing days out of the lodge, we’ll use the lodge as our home base throughout the trip. This allows you to enjoy the luxury of premium accommodations while still immersing yourself in a true wilderness setting.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Lodge owners are implementing pre-payment requirements and a strict no-cancellation policy. To stay consistent with their terms, we are now a fully non-refundable payment policy operation. All payments will be final.
If you need to cancel and I am able to refill your seat at full price, your payment will be refunded in full.
If the river is deemed unusable due to unsafe conditions or mandated closures, trip insurance will be the only way to recover your funds. We recommend Travelex or Travel Guard. Trip insurance is not mandatory, but it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
